The house boat is similar to the raft but as a shelter it is larger and has walls windows it is smaller than the large raft.

The boat is perfect for maneuvering through the canals of the netherlands. You cannot sleep or save unless you build a bed. It could be used for traveling across the water and to stay safe from mutants and cannibals inside you are protected against rain sharks and getting cold it is possible to build fire inside without burning the house boat. Weapons racks don t seem to work well like some of the videos i ve seen.

I m only about a week into playing this amazing game and i was wondering if anyone has a surefire way to get up onto the houseboat roof. The large raft is the largest boat in the game superseding the raft and the houseboat and is useful if you are going for an island base since there is plenty of space to build log rock and stick holders on the raft. I had to remove the entire roof so i replaced the 2x4s with 2x6. Like most other custom buildings custom. I really dig the houseboat.

I got the house boat close to a rock and was able to build a drying rack blueprint pretty much on the roof. They can serve many purposes not just roofs. I also wish you could more eaily access the roof even if you had to build something to do so and put some stuff up there like the drying rack and water collector and maybe an arrow basket. They can be used as ramps scaffolding bridges etc.

Custom roofs can be attached to many types of structures. Top if off with 3 4 tongue and groove plywood.
